SUMMARY:SAMPE\, EarthEn Energy\, FibreGlast
DESCRIPTION:Our monthly webinar series “Innovation Insights” continued Monday\, April 21\, as IACMI EVP/CCO Dale Brosius moderated discussions on recent technology advancements from IACMI members. \n  \nWatch the Recording \nWe heard from: \nManas Pathak\nCEO\nEarthEn Energy \nsCO2-based\, Pumped-heat\, Long-duration Energy Storage.\nEarthEn Energy is a climate-tech company pioneering a novel\, closed-loop energy storage system using supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO₂). Their modular and scalable technology enables long-duration storage (4–100+ hours)\, helping integrate renewable energy and replace fossil-fuel peaker plants. Unlike lithium-based batteries\, EarthEn’s solution uses no rare earths\, is safe\, recyclable\, and sustainable. It operates like a reversible heat engine\, storing and releasing energy with high efficiency. EarthEn also produces stand-alone heat-only storage devices for thermal storage around 100-500 deg C temperature range. \n  \nMichelle Bonnett\nProduct/Procurement/Quality Leader\nFibre Glast \nFrom Sunlight to Smart Heat: Fibre Glast’s Advanced Composite Repair Solutions across Industries\nSummary: This presentation introduces Fibre Glast\, its mission\, and how the team supports innovation in composite repair through advanced UV resin systems and intelligent heat solutions. We’ll explore fast-curing\, nonhazardous UV resins from Bergolin and Sunrez—approved for major wind turbine blade repairs—and discuss how msquare’s smart heat systems streamline aerospace\, aviation\, and wind repair operations with app-based control\, automated documentation\, and rapid self-calibration. \nRaj Manchanda\nChief Technology Officer\nSAMPE\nCo-presenter:\nJennifer Pelkey\nDirector of Marketing and Communications\nSAMPE \nYou Can’t Miss SAMPE 2025!\nMay 19-22 in Indianapolis\, IN\nSAMPE’s CTO Raj Manchanda and Jennifer Pelkey\, Director of Marketing and Communications\, will join Innovation Insights to discuss the variety of educational and networking opportunities that will be offered at North America’s premier advanced materials and process engineering conference and exhibition – SAMPE 2025.  For the first time\, IACMI will lead an interactive session with ORNL and others on how to apply smart manufacturing in composites. The can’t miss session will feature industry leaders who will provide strategies and examples on how manufacturers can use Digital Twins\, Artificial Intelligence\, Machine Learning and Industry 4.0 to achieve smart manufacturing.  Characterization of Materials in Extreme High Temperature Environments; Developing Sustainable Pathways for Composite Manufacturing Factory Waste; Hydrogen for Advanced Mobility; and an Emerging Trends Panel sponsored by the SAMPE Technical Committees: It’s Tough to be Tough-Improving Composite Toughness\, are a few of the numerous featured panels which will be offered along with the 100+ peer-reviewed technical paper presentations.  We’ll wrap up the discussion around the goings-on in the Exhibit Hall\, where there will be demonstrations\, new product launches\, the long-standing Student Bridge contest and other competitions\, networking events\, the technical tours and much more. \n  \n  \n
