SUMMARY:JEC Automotive Forums - Knoxville
DESCRIPTION:After several JEC Forums editions focusing on advances in design and simulation of composite materials in various industries\, for the first time JEC Forums becomes an event entirely dedicated to composites in the Automotive industry. Hosted in Knoxville\, home to the University of Tennessee and one of IACMI’s lead institutions\, the event will bring new developments in automotive manufacturing and materials.\nThe Automotive industry remains by far the largest market for composite materials in the U.S.\, rendering it a key player when it comes to innovation and advancements in materials and manufacturing processes. The main challenges: raw material cost reduction\, light-weighting\, and achieving mass production\, are direct consequences of environmental requirements becoming more rigorous as concern about carbon emissions grows.\n \n[one_fourth last=”no” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][button link=”http://www.jecforums-badges.com/” color=”default” size=”” stretch=”” type=”” shape=”” target=”_self” title=”” gradient_colors=”|” gradient_hover_colors=”|” accent_color=”” accent_hover_color=”” bevel_color=”” border_width=”” icon=”” icon_position=”left” icon_divider=”no” modal=”” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”1″ animation_offset=”” alignment=”” class=”” id=””]Register[/button][/one_fourth][three_fourth last=”yes” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text] \nIACMI members save 20% on registration with code JECIACMI16\n[/fusion_text][/three_fourth][fusion_text] \nHosted in Knoxville\, home to the University of Tennessee and one of IACMI’s lead institutions\, the event will bring new developments in automotive manufacturing and materials. \nOur end-user forum will take place at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Knoxville\, TN on October 13th and 14th 2016. \n[/fusion_text][one_half last="no" spacing="yes" center_content="no" hide_on_mobile="no" background_color="" background_image="" background_repeat="no-repeat" background_position="left top" hover_type="none" link="" border_position="all" border_size="0px" border_color="" border_style="" padding="" margin_top="" margin_bottom="" animation_type="" animation_direction="" animation_speed="0.1" animation_offset="" class="" id=""][fusion_text]October 13: Conferences\nThe first day will offer two conference sessions delving into the possibilities of hybrid solutions\, for example by combining lightweight materials with metals\, as well as the challenges that come with making carbon fiber an affordable solution for mass production.[/fusion_text][/one_half][one_half last="yes" spacing="yes" center_content="no" hide_on_mobile="no" background_color="" background_image="" background_repeat="no-repeat" background_position="left top" hover_type="none" link="" border_position="all" border_size="0px" border_color="" border_style="" padding="" margin_top="" margin_bottom="" animation_type="" animation_direction="" animation_speed="0.1" animation_offset="" class="" id=""][fusion_text]October 14: Workshops and Tour\nThe second day will supplement these aspects with a more concrete approach thanks to various workshops focusing on affordable composites\, the development and industrial commercialization of composite materials and innovations in manufacturing. These workshops involve presentations\, case studies and Q&A\, and will be followed by a guided composite tour of ORNL's MDF facility and the University of Tennessee's composites lab.[/fusion_text][/one_half][one_full last="yes" spacing="yes" center_content="no" hide_on_mobile="no" background_color="" background_image="" background_repeat="no-repeat" background_position="left top" hover_type="none" link="" border_position="all" border_size="0px" border_color="" border_style="" padding="" margin_top="" margin_bottom="" animation_type="" animation_direction="" animation_speed="0.1" animation_offset="" class="" id=""][button link="https://www.iacmi.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/jec-forums-knoxville-2016-program.pdf" color="default" size="" stretch="" type="" shape="" target="_self" title="" gradient_colors="|" gradient_hover_colors="|" accent_color="" accent_hover_color="" bevel_color="" border_width="" icon="" icon_position="left" icon_divider="no" modal="" animation_type="0" animation_direction="left" animation_speed="1" animation_offset="" alignment="" class="" id=""]Download full program[/button][/one_full]
