70% Remote; 30% In Office; Required to live within 1 hour of Knoxville, TN

We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to support our team members across both onsite and remote environments. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with company policies. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Endpoint Administration

  • Assist the IT Manager with administering, configuring, and maintaining corporate IT systems, endpoints, and user environments across Windows and macOS platforms
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize hardware, software, and endpoint management solutions to improve performance and user experience

Advanced Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to operating systems, applications, identity access, networking and VPN connectivity.
  • Analyze system performance trends and proactively recommend improvements or corrective actions
  •  Escalate and coordinate vendor relationships and external support resources when necessary

Security, Compliance & Policy Enforcement

  •  Enforce IT security standards, controls, and best practices in alignment with company policies
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating security risks, vulnerabilities, and audit findings across IT systems
  • Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and remediation planning as needed

Project Work & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades, security enhancements, process automation, and tool implementations
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards
  •  Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with organizational needs and growth

User Enablement & Strategic Support

  • Assist with technical onboarding and offboarding processes, including access provisioning, device configuration, and system orientation
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members, promoting effective and secure technology use
  • Support onsite and remote environments, including occasional offsite support, with a focus on systems reliability rather than routine break/fix tasks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience in IT support, endpoint management, or similar technical roles
  • Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong expertise supporting Windows and macOS operating systems in a business environment
  • Working knowledge of MDM/MAM platforms and endpoint security tools
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, Wi‑Fi, and identity/access management
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and exercise independent judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document procedures and explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple initiatives, and operate with minimal day‑to‑day supervision
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license for traveling to the IACMI office
