Salary Range

$45,000 – $55,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary

IACMI – The Composites Institute is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Support Specialist to support the Program Management team and broader Workforce Department. This role will help develop slide decks, presentation visuals, reports, and other support materials that clearly communicate program progress, impact, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders. The Project Support Specialist will also contribute to continuous improvement in how program data is collected, organized, analyzed, and presented, including identifying trends and insights that strengthen reporting, planning, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Management team and broader IACMI staff through the development of slide decks, presentation visuals, reports, and other support materials.
  • Collect, organize, maintain, and review program data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across workforce initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support program performance, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Continuously improve how data is collected, tracked, organized, and presented across programs.
  • Prepare clear, visually engaging reports, dashboards, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project and program documentation, templates, and centralized files to support efficient execution and version control.
  • Coordinate with internal staff and external partners to gather updates, supporting information, and materials related to workforce activities and deliverables.
  • Support the preparation of materials and documentation for meetings, workshops, events, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Help align documents, reports, and presentation materials with project objectives, sponsor requirements, and organizational priorities.
  • Assist the team in identifying process improvements and implementing practical solutions that strengthen workflow, reporting quality, and program visibility.
  • Escalate potential issues, delays, or gaps in information to the Program Management team to support proactive resolution.
  • Provide general operational and project support as needed to help keep workforce initiatives on track

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, communications, data analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in project support, administration, coordination, or similar roles is beneficial.
  • Skill in transforming complex data sets and program metrics into visually appealing and meaningful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing work.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Google Workspace) for scheduling, documentation, presentations, and basic data analysis.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, with flexibility to handle unexpected challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, clients, and team members.
  • Experience with collaboration and event tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, Salesforce,
  • Eventbrite, Cvent, and/or Canvas preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques and tools is advantageous.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Physical ability to move freely, lift at least 25 lbs., and sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time, with overnight stays.
